Chocolate Milk is one of those sad victims of time. They were a really cool funk band from New Orleans that made eight albums between 1975 and 1982 and then they were done and pretty much forgotten. It’s too bad, really. Listen to this bass line:
That’s enough to make Bootsy say “Ah yeah, baby.”
But that album cover. It would’ve been one for the spank bank if I’d stumbled across it as a kid, right up there with The Ohio Players’ Fire or Roxy Music’s Country Life.
As an adult, though, chocolate boobies coupled with a lactating font is enough to grant Chocolate Milk entry into the Bad Album Cover Hall of Fame. Who am I kidding? It’s still spankable.
