Once upon a time, people sat around in groups and listened to “party records.”
Party records was a polite term for X-rated comedy albums, if you can imagine such a thing existing. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that foul language was taboo in the years before Orlando Bloom swung his johnson across the intergooglewebtubes.
Arguably the king of the party records was Dolemite himself, Rudy Ray Moore. He was the king of bad album covers, too, and that’s why we’re here today. Please welcome 1972’s Dolemite for President to the Bad Album Cover Hall of Fame, and don’t forget to vote for Dolemite this November.
