weasel_head I have a buddy back home who is the editor for a couple of those Patch sites.  You might have one in your hometown or at least be familiar with the concept, but if not imagine essentially an online local newspaper.

So recently I ran a “Deep Cuts” that showcased musicians with connections to Upstate South Carolina.  “Do you think this would be a fit for Patch?” I asked my buddy.  “If so, feel free to run it.”

Great guy that he is, he offers this:

Why don’t you blog for us?  Write what you want when you want, etc.

I’m going to give it a shot. Why It Matters has a pretty specific theme and structure, so I think it might be nice to play in another neighborhood now and then.  What I’ll do with that space and with what frequency remains to be seen, but I’m looking forward to it.

And I see there are already posts. Can you spare a little of your juice? I have been dehydrated for over a year now.

That’s cool. I regularly read the Patch in my city of residence and work city. I’d love to read your articles in your hometown Patch too!
