This is a cool 1958 compilation that’s worth your money just for the cover art.  My interest is a little more personal.

This compilation includes the Sparkletones’ “Black Slacks,” the coolest song ever to come out of Spartanburg, South Carolina.  Check it out for yourself, Daddy-O:

It’s not a particularly rare album, but at the same time you’re probably not going to find at a garage sale anytime soon.  Expect to pay around ten bucks online.  Happy hunting.
