This one is for the memoir readers, and it’s also a sneak peek at Revenge of the Daisy, this year’s chapbook. “Daisy” is coming along slowly but surely. I’m targeting August to be complete, so I need to get on it.
Anyway, take a look and when you’re done come back and tell me about your first love. I’m listening.

I hope it’s a good one. The new material is coming along fairly well. Fingers crossed.

Looking very forward to Revenge of the Daisy. No first loves over here. As a four-eyed non-Catholic geek in Catholic school(s) getting my ass kicked after school every day, I was much too busy figuring out alternate routes to walk home to spend much time on that shy cute kid sitting a few thousand rows away from me.

No chance of that, Robbo, though no promises on deleting that Jar Jar love scene.

Mr. and Mrs.Ashby obviously had it out for your forbidden love.

I hope you don’t cop out like George Lucas and at the last minute change the title to ‘Return of the Daisy’.

Love the story and commented over there too. The first boy I remember loving was a first grade classmate. His name was Russell Ashby. He was a thin, quiet boy, with very dark hair, big brown eyes, and pale skin. I found him enchanting and tried to be his partner whenever the opportunity arose.
Sadly, he moved during the summer between first and second grade and we were cruelly parted.
