Diffuser.fm asked me to put together a review of U2’s latest, and I said “yes please.”
U2 and I go way back—back to the days of Hal The Drummer and I cruising down to Atlanta to check them out at the Omni; back to feeling giddy finding imports and b-sides; back to when they were U-Fucking-2.
Piling on seems to be the thing to do with U2 these days, and man have people been whipped up about this album. How dare they give me a free record! U2 sucks!
Blah blah blah. All that matters in the end is the songs. Are they any good? Give my write up a read, then go give Songs of Innocence a listen for yourself.
