The Blue Ridge Parkway is home territory for me, at least childhood home. I miss places like Boone and Asheville, so the opportunity to write a little bit about them brought me a little joy. If the comments on this article are any indication, the residents of those towns aren’t as taken with me as I am with them, but that’s okay. It wasn’t any different for me growing up in that region.
