Here we have a CD bootleg of a September 20, 1995 Nine Inch Nails show at Toronto’s Skydome. It’s a great recording, right off the board, and if you’re into Nine Inch Nails I’m sure you’ll dig it. Me? I’m not in it for the NIN. For me it’s all about the last three tracks, or more specifically the last three tracks’ special guest star.
David Bowie’s ’90 incarnation kicked off with suits and Al B. Sure, but as the Industrial sound grew popular he jumped on board. I’m not complaining — 1995’s Outside, released just a week after this show, is one of my favorite Bowie albums. Some credit Trent Reznor with kick starting Bowie’s career around this time, which is obviously an overstatement, but Trent certainly seems to have sparked some creative fire in the Dame.
So yeah: You get three cuts of Bowie on this boot, including duets on “Hurt,” “Reptile,” and “Scary Monsters.” You also get ten NIN tracks, so enjoy those. Or don’t, either way.
This one trades in the $10-15 range. Happy hunting.
