The 45 immediately to your left is from my personal stacks. Back in my record store days, I was in charge of the weekly singles order. When I saw this one on the list of upcoming releases, I had one of those “sunbeam through the parted clouds” moments. The existence of these recordings was known among R.E.M. fans, but we never thought they’d get a release.
That was 1986. We had to wait another four years for a Hindu Love Gods album to come out.
