Why It Matters

Aftershock’s crowd is always rowdy but mostly well behaved.

I witnessed a couple of skirmishes, but nothing major. Security did an outstanding job with the crowdsurfers coming over the barricades.

Masks were the accessory of the day, as were humorous t-shirts: “I’d Flex But I Like This Shirt”; “Show Me Your Tits”; Support Your Local White Boy.” This year also featured professional wrestling and a couple of airplane flyovers, though I’m not entirely sure that those were a planned part of the festivities.
