This seemed like the right time to bust this one out, given the current news cycle.
Unlike 2016, when presidential nominees suggest checking out Miss Universe’s sex tape, imply they’d like to date their daughters, and brag about “grabbing pussy,” back in 1976 one had to rely on magazines like Penthouse for their smut. It was on the back pages of Bob Guccione’s tribute to Vaseline-smeared lenses and stories that I never believed were true until Lacy moved into my apartment complex that one found advertisements for Chinga Chavin’s Country Porn. Chavin was kind of the pornographic Ray Stevens for those folks who wanted something raunchier than “The Streak.” Not really my cup of tea, but honestly I wasn’t looking for horny parody songs while flipping through skin magazines in my childhood tree house.
All in you get ten tracks with titles like “Asshole From El Paso,” “Tit Stop Rock,” and that classic old gospel track, “Cum Stains On the Pillow (Where Your Sweet Head Used To Be).”
It’s a cruddy album, but if you’re a fan of novelty records or cheesecake album covers it’s a must-have. You can pick up your own copy of Chinga Chavin’s Country Porn for around five bucks, or you can vote for the candidate running on the Pussy Grabber platform and enjoy four free years of Penthouse letters in the form of State of the Union speeches. Either way, happy hunting.

HA! I love that it’s a gatefold and has the lyrics printed! I wonder if Haggard ever heard this… https://youtu.be/6yM7J9UzmzE
