So what do I do now that I’ve finished reading six feet of history? Well, take a little break from reading non-fiction for one thing. Maybe not a long one, but a break nonetheless. I need a little fiction in my diet–maybe a little fast food like Jim Thompson, or meat and potatoes like Larry Brown. It doesn’t really matter–just no more presidential facts for a little while.

Anyway, history songs:

“Wait For History,” Deconstruction.

“History Song,” The Good, The Bad, and The Queen.

“History Never Repeats,” Split Enz.

“Black History Month,” Death From Above 1979.

“The Biggest Killer In American History,” Bad Religion.

“History,” Tenacious D.

“History Lesson,” Living Colour.

“History Repeats Itself,” A.O.S.

There you have it: Eight songs from the past about the past. What did I miss? I’m listening.
