Tom’s been gone a while now. All we have left is the music, the videos, and King of the Hill.
And bootlegs. Unless you have a time machine, your choices for listening to Tom Petty live on 1978’s “You’re Gonna Get It” tour include: A) Waiting for an official release; or B) Picking up a copy of Heartbreak In New York. This is a sound board recording, so the audio is good–not as good as an official release, mind you, but the performance is great. The band was touring in support of their second album, so they’re still young and hungry here.
So yeah, pick it up if you’re a Petty fan. A copy will only run you 25-30 bucks. Happy hunting.

Picked this up in Montclair once upon a time after browsing so long I grabbed this just because. Expecting nothing because this boot company put out some not-worth-it stuff over the years. Pleasantly surprised and a great listen.
