• Aftershock Festival 2013: All That Remains

Airbourne and Filter cancelled at the last minute, but no worries. All That Remains stepped up and covered the empty slot on the Ernie Ball stage. Classy move—I hope the promoters appreciated it. I know the fans did.

  • Aftershock Festival 2013: We As Human

Some great pics from the main stage:

  • Aftershock Festival 2013: Otherwise

I really dug these guys. Very good set with all sorts of rock star goodness.  If you’re an aspiring musician, make a note: Always give it good to the photographers. They’ll go out of their way to spread just how awesome you are. Take a look:

  • Aftershock Festival 2013: Nothing More

Nothing More doubled up, playing the Ernie Ball stage on Saturday (pictured) and the main stage on Sunday. Both sets kicked ass. If you’re a percussion fan put these guys on your must see list. For my interview with guitarist Mark Vollelunga and some other Aftershock artists go here.

  • Aftershock Festival 2013: The Mendenhall Experiment

This is the band that kicked off the festival, playing first thing Saturday morning on the Ernie Ball stage. They did a good job with the sparse crowd that was trickling in, as security was throttling the number of people coming through the front gate.

  • Aftershock Festival 2013: Love and Death

I’m not going to say that Brian Head Welch’s set on the Ernie Ball stage was a full-blown sonic assault on his former band mates, who appeared later on the main stage. I don’t have to—Love and Death’s set said it all.

  • New Story Published at Red Fez

Here’s another short story from Revenge of the Daisy, the manuscript that I’m currently shopping. There’s a good chance we’ll all be wearing silver robes and have numbers for names before that beast gets published, so read it here while you’re still young: http://www.redfez.net/nonfiction/497

  • Aftershock 2013: Heaven’s Basement

  • Aftershock 2013: Girl On Fire

Unfortunately I didn’t get too many picture of these guys, but the ones I got are pretty nice. Enjoy.

  • Aftershock Festival: Eye Empire

Great set from an energetic band. For my interview with front man Donald Carpenter go here.
