My generation’s Woodstock was Lollapalooza, the first incarnation of which was intended to be Jane’s Addiction’s farewell tour. That was in 1991 — thank goodness Perry and the rest of Jane’s aren’t suited for retirement.
The band is out on the road in support of their new album, The Great Escape Artist.
I’ve seen Jane’s Addiction in clubs, theaters, and arenas. I even saw Perry’s post-Jane’s band, Porno For Pyros, play in the middle of a desert. They are always amazing, but the smaller the venue the better the show. This leg of the Theatre Of The Escapists tour seems to focus on theaters around 3,000 seats or so, so you’re in for a treat.
If you’re in or near any of these cities July 13-September 8, be sure to pick up some tickets. You won’t regret it.

I’d love to see them. At 60 miles away it wouldn’t be out of the question…but if I’m honest, kind of unlikely that I’d drag my butt to Dana Point.
I will watch videos instead 🙂

That’s the date I’m most interested in and the one that I’m least likely to be able to make. I think you should drag your butt down there and do a superstar celebrity guest post review for us.
