Fear: The Record is one of the greatest punk albums to come out of the first wave of L.A. punk.  Those guys were beasts, but they were funny, too.  I still throw on “Beef Baloney” and “Fuck Christmas” when I’m in a funk rather than feeling funky.

I don’t remember when I was handed this handbill for a show at the Palladium in Los Angeles, but I’m guessing late eighties.  I saw quite a few shows there, so I assume that somebody jammed this in my hand while I was walking down Sunset and I stuck it in my pocket and forgot about it.

All I know is that I didn’t get to the show.  I am an idiot.

That makes the treasure all the more special when you find it, though.

Very cool, finding forgotten treasure! Not getting to do that very often is the worst part of being a fierce thrower outer.

A twenty-five year old beef baloney sandwich. The bread would be disgusting but I’m guessing the baloney wouldn’t change much.

That’s a lot better than finding an actual beef baloney sandwich.
