This is a cool album that I picked up on a whim.  Yeah, you got me: It was the cover.

Bodies In The Basement was released by Pure Poison Records back in 2003.  The band appears to be from San Jose, California, though from looking at their Myspace page it looks like they might be dormant.

If you’re a fan of Iggy and the Stooges you’re going to dig this one, and if you want to add a controversial album cover to your stacks that’s a bonus.  My guess is that the only reason that the moral watchdogs didn’t throw a fit over this cover was that they simply didn’t know about it.

Good luck finding a copy.  If you do it might be fifty cents because the dealer doesn’t know what he has or fifty bucks because it’s a cool punk obscurity, I really don’t know.
