Sacramento, California is the sleepiest little metropolitan region of 2.5 million people you’re bound to come across. It’s not like Sacramentans are sitting on their front porches whittling and playing harmonicas, but with the Bay Area just a short drive away, California’s capitol rarely gets the big shows.
September’s Aftershock Festival ought to wake them up.
This bill is insane, with some of the biggest names in metal signing on for this two-day fest in Sacramento’s Discovery Park, a beautiful location along the Sacramento River. I’m not going to recap the list above, but Megadeth in Discovery Park? I’ll take that all day.
I’ll be covering the festival both days, live tweeting (follow me @jamesostafford) and posting photos from the Ernie Ball stage. Additionally, I’m lining up some interviews and will write-up the complete Aftershock experience when my ears stop ringing.
Why don’t you let that repressed Guy In Black Tee Shirt Who Jams out for the weekend and join me? Tickets are still available at: http://aftershockconcert.com/lineup.html.
And you can follow the countdown and win some swag by following the fest on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AftershockFestival

Looking forward to the live tweets and the interviews!
