I’m an old fart, and I’ve been a music fan since I was a pup. I’ve seen it all, so it’s hard for a band to plaster a shit eating grin on my grouchy old fart face. A Band of Orcs didn’t have any problem, though.

The Santa Cruz band opened a four band bill at Sacramento’s Ace of Spades with a set that was the most fun I’ve had at a show in years. The costumes were amazing, the metal was crunchy, and lead Orc Gogog Bloodthroat’s demands to “Give me clap! More clap!” were the funniest stage patter this side of Paul Stanley’s sassy black girl impersonations.
