This is a fun one to collect. Trevor Spencer and Alan Tarney were a couple of Aussies most notable for backing up Cliff Richard. They released three albums of their own, of which Run For Your Life was the last.
If your video game skills peaked with Atari, you likely remember the cut “No Time To Lose” getting some heavy airplay in the early days of MTV. For me it was one of those stop everything and listen tracks, and it remains in that playlist that I reserve for drunken nostalgic evenings:
Run For Your Life is a solid album and it’s readily available in the five dollar range, but what really makes it fun for record geeks is the cover variants. The UK edition has a completely different sleeve, and the more common album cover (photo above) was printed in four versions, each identical but for different colored text.
So there you go: You can have five copies of this record in your stacks, and each unique. Happy hunting.
