When I was a kid my sister’s boyfriend used to keep me out of their business by bringing over a case of 8-tracks. They’d wrestle around on the couch while I stared at the family stereo, headphones blaring.

One of my favorites was Foghat Live, so when the opportunity came up to interview Foghat drummer Roger Earl for Paste I jumped on it. What a great day.

Foghat still tours the casino/fair circuit, and you won’t find a tighter blues-rock band for your concert dollar. Seriously: Go see them. Meanwhile, check out a little wine talk with the legendary Mr. Earl.
