On Diffuser: Why Must the Music Die With the Artist?

I love listening to live music, love it. Music never sounds better than in the moment. Recordings are a compromise — the real thing is on stage.

So what happens when the original performer dies, quits, or grows to ill to perform? Should we never hear his or her amazing songs in their natural habitat again?
