Breakdowns: We all have at least one.
I’ve had a few, and I imagine I’ll have a few more. The best that we can hope for is that we manage to ride them out with minimal scarring.
Anyways, songs about breakdowns:
“Start of the Breakdown,” Tears For Fears.
“Breakdown,” Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
“Go’N Breakdown,” Suicidal Tendencies.
“Breakdown,” Buzzcocks.
“Breakdown,” Guns N’ Roses.
“Breakups Breakdowns,” Simple Kid.
“Communication Breakdown,” Led Zeppelin.
“19th Nervous Breakdown,” Rolling Stones.
Any to add? I’m listening.
Sometimes I think keeping them at bay is such a fragile curtain, they are always there, waiting to fly through and cap your knees.
I know it only says “Breakdown” once in the lyrics, but this was always one I played when i was going down and needed to scream with someone:

Slipknot, “Three Nil”
Doesn’t have “breakdown” in the title or lyrics, but this album (Vol. III: The Subliminal Verses), and this song in particular, was the soundtrack to my breakdown.
I got fired from a job–long, twisted story, involving a power struggle with my boss. On the day I was let go, I calmly cleaned out my desk under the watchful eye of a corporate security guard, and was escorted from the building. On my way home, I stopped and bought two six packs of hard cider (my drink of choice.) Over the next 12 hours, I proceeded to destroy a coffee table and a TV antenna, put two holes in my living room walls, and drink hard cider until I passed out on the kitchen floor. All while playing this album at full volume, on repeat. All night. When my neighbor came over and asked me to turn it down, I told him to f— off. I remain amazed to this day that he didn’t call the cops.
