Well that was a rough couple of weeks. Fires, hurricanes, earthquakes–we have a lot of rebuilding to do.
It won’t be easy, but we’ll get it done. Humans are some seriously resilient beasts. I imagine from space we must look like a bunch of ants scrambling to rebuild the hill after it’s been torched by a little brat with a magnifying class.
If you’ve been impacted by the recent disasters, good luck to you. Good luck to you if you weren’t, too. There’s enough to go around.
Let’s get to the music:
“Rebuilding,” Ignition.
“It Takes Time To Build,” The Beastie Boys.
“We’ll Build A House,” Martin Newell.
“I Build This Garden For Us,” Lenny Kravitz.
“I’ll Build A Stairway To Paradise,” Georges Guetary.
“(Just Like) Starting Over,” John Lennon.
“My Life Is Starting Over Again,” Kepi Ghoulie.
“Starting A New Life,” Van Morrison.
There you have it: Eight songs for your rebuilding efforts. What did I miss? I’m listening.
