Here’s one for the Bowie fan who has everything.
Even when this was released back in 1981, there was no new Bowie material on it. There were variations, though. On the Christiane F. soundtrack one could find part of “Helden,” the German version of “Heroes,” and single edits of “TVC15” and “Stay.” The live version of “Station To Station,” which Bowie performs in the film, isn’t even unique to the film. It’s from 1978’s Stage.
So you might not getting any new tracks here, but do you really want a gap in your Bowie collection? I know I don’t, and that’s why this one is in my stacks.
Bowie speculation continues two years after his death, so you’ll find some pretty high prices out there for the Christiane F. soundtrack. It’s fairly rare as Bowie albums go so that’s somewhat justified, but realistically it’s worth somewhere in the 15-20 dollar range. Happy hunting.

Omg, I remember reading the book when I was about…..17 years old? Lali and I went wild when we found out Bowie was in the movie, we went to see it with high hopes of much Bowie, but it is only one scene…..I have read and re-read that book so many times, I still have my original paperback of it, but I do not have the Bowie soundtrack, so seeing this was awesome.
I am still in denial that he is gone, two years in.
