You are looking at a bootleg of a bootleg. The original Floyd’s of London was released on the Amazing Kornyphone label, but this copy is on Dessie Records. No honor among thieves, am I right?
I have another copy of this on an unnamed label, too. That copy indicates that this is a September 30, 1971 radio broadcast of the BBC’s John Peel Show, which gibes with the content of the record, so let’s trust that date.
While many bands have released official BBC recordings–Bowie, Hendrix, the Beatles–there’s no official release of this material yet, so if you’re a Floyd fan it’s bootleg or bust. Expect to pay anywhere from 20 to 50 bucks, depending on which pressing and condition. Happy hunting.
