“Interview” picture discs were fairly common during the ’80s. Like bootlegs, they were a way to exploit the popularity of a band without paying to license their music. All it took was a photograph, a prerecorded interview, and a pressing plant and hey, you were in the Echo and the Bunnymen collectibles business.
I don’t have a lot of these, but I am a sucker for vintage picture discs so if I find one in the dollar bin I’ll pick it up. And a dollar is about this one is worth, though I wouldn’t be surprised to see it online for 3-5 bucks. Happy hunting.
