Quick, connect The Night They Raided Minsky’s to Molly Hatchet. I’ll give you a hint: The answer in no way involves Kevin Bacon.
If you guessed “the cover art” you’re not only right but a genius. Who the heck would look at this cartoony sleeve and think of Molly Hatchet’s testosterone-rich fantasy art album covers? And yet it’s true: The legendary Frank Frazetta is the man behind the paintbrush in both instances.
Like Jack Davis, Frazetta remained in demand for his uncanny caricature skills. His sleeve for Both Sides of Herman’s Hermits remains another one of my non-fantasy themed favorites of his.
An original Frazetta painting will set you back 1-2 million dollars, but you can start your own Frank collection with a copy of The Night They Raided Minsky’s for 3-5 bucks. Either way, you can’t go wrong. Happy hunting.

Is that really Jason Robards or a time-traveling Henry Winkler?
You make the call.
